Keeping our soldiers fit is a big focus for the SAF, which is why there are a slew of different training regimes in place to train and test the fitness levels of our soldiers; such as the Individual Physical Proficiency Test, route marches and field exercises. In a first of two videos on how the Army has strengthened its combat fitness training over the last 3 years, we take a look at the Standard Obstacle Course, which was redesigned in 2010 to meet the evolving operational requirements of our soldiers, and the Vocation Obstacle Course, which soldiers take on as a team carrying loads that simulate what they will have to bear when deployed.
