(Someone entered an unsecured shed in the 17,000 SE 30th Avenue in Summerfield and stole $2,000.00 worth of tools A home in the 8800 block of SW 116th Street Road in Oak Run was broken into and someone stole several hand guns along with a, silver 2003 Chrysler Concord. Someone broke into a home in the 14,000 block of West Hwy 318 in Williston and stole tools, a TV and a generator. Total Loss $4,000 Units responded to the BP located at 7947 W. Hwy. 40 in reference to a robbery that just occurred. Investigation revealed that a White or Hispanic Male wearing a blue sweatshirt, jeans and a mask entered the store indicating that he had a firearm inside of his shirt and demanded the money from the register. He walked behind the counter and removed cash from the register on his own, then fled on foot. The investigation is ongoing Units responded to the 4100 block of S.W. 22nd Street in reference to a theft. Investigation revealed that the victim took a homeless acquaintance of his fishing during the day and then returned to his home at which time 28 year old Joseph Smith grabbed the victim’s wallet took the cash from inside and fled the home. Joseph has not been located at this time. MCSO received information that a 57 year old male, was going to commit suicide using a homemade 50 caliber pipe canon. During the initial contact it was undetermined if he intended to harm himself or law enforcement if we approached. Due to the location and safety of the units responding, SWAT, Bomb Unit, and Negotiator Unit were call out. SWAT members were able to enter the home where they found the subject deceased. Deputies responded to the 14,000 block of SE 209th Ter, Umatilla reference a vehicle on fire. While enroute, another call was received in reference a 1998 Volkswagen had been stolen from Blue Sink located on SE 127th St Rd, Umatilla. The burned vehicle was positively identified as the stolen vehicle. The investigation is ongoing. Deputies responded to the 5700 block Pecan Rd, Ocala reference a request from EMS who was on scene for a medical call. A female, later identified as 47 year old Moises Vasquez-Barrios’s girlfriend, advised she knew nothing or saw nothing. She was transported by EMS for allegedly falling. The victim in this case showed up at MRMC with a laceration to his forehead that he stated was caused by Vasquez-Barrios with a machete. Deputies McClure and Jenkins located Vasquez-Barrios hiding behind a shed in the dark and he became uncooperative and refused to follow commands. He was eventually apprehended and transported to the Gold Star Hotel. Numerous deputies responded to the 14,000 block of SE 49th Ct, Summerfield reference a possible shooting victim and multiple gunshots in the area. Upon the initial arrival in the area, units reported that they could still hear gunshots in the area. At the residence, the victim suffered a serious gunshot wound to her lower leg. 29 year old Reynaldo Davila, who was caught by deputies running in the area, is the father of the victim’s granddaughter and the dispute is alleged to have started over visitation rights. Other suspects fled the scene in a vehicle and reside outside of Marion County. Davila was arrested and transported to jail.)
