Kelechi Deca: The election will be a close call, we have never had it like this before. Anybody who thinks it will be an easy ride is in for some shocks. Grassroots campaign from now will be key..... Egheomhanre Eyieyien: Kelechi Deca, the 2015 Presidential Election will only be a close call on Facebook. President Goodluck Jonathan will get about 92% of the South East votes and 98% South Souths votes; at least 55% of the South West votes; and 60% of Middle Belt votes. He will have at least 25% of the North West and North East votes. Most of the Hausa and Fulani political and traditional leaders are pragmatic and realistic folks. They are very savvy politically. They do not want Gen. Muhammadu Buhari as President and are already mobilising to ensure President Jonathan gets the Constitutionally required minimum votes from their region to be validly elected as President. The Hausa-Fulani Elite now have their eyes on 2019 and are counting on the support of the South East and South South to deliver the Presidency to one amongst them then. This is why people like Gen. Aliyu Gusau, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar, Alhaji Ibrahim Shekarau, Gov. Sule Lamido, Gov. Babangida Aliyu and all the other PDP Governors in the north are solidly behind President Jonathan bid for a second term despite their being previously opposed to it. :-D Nigeria di fure!
