Kema Chikwe’s original statement manipulated by Sahara Reporters - TopicsExpress

Kema Chikwe’s original statement manipulated by Sahara Reporters and APC spokesman, Lai Mohammed OPENING ADDRESS OF THE NATIONAL WOMAN LEADER, PDP-AMB. DR. KEMA CHIKWE AT THE OCCASION OF PDP WOMEN’S PRAYER SESSION FOR THE UNITY IN NIGERIA April 30th, 2014 SING: MY LIFETIME Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen, let me commence my remarks by thanking the Almighty God who made it possible for us to gather here this morning in His name. God has been merciful to our nation and indeed our party, the Peoples Democratic Party in so many ways. Significantly, since 1998, when our party was founded, we have weathered quite a number of storms, we have faced challenges from known and unknown quarters but PDP has always triumphed and will continue to triumph. The worst of these challenges manifested last year as we were endangered by curious loss of membership in an unprecedented manner. God in His infinite mercy intervened. We are now reaping new membership harvest. For a party in power since this new democratic experience in Nigeria, our depleting fortunes constituted major concerns nationally and internationally. For a party with a very strong foundation, the raging storm stopped miraculously. Today, PDP is blessed with the leadership of Alhaji (Dr.)Adamu Mu’azu, who is popularly known as the Game Changer. The National Chairman has only been in office for 100 days but the party has turned around 360 degrees. Alhaji (Dr.) Adamu Mu’azu and the members of the National Working Committee are giving a Midas touch to the Party. Total confidence has been restored. I must commend the leadership of President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Dr. GoodluckEbele Jonathan who in so many ways has shown total commitment to the Nigerian project. His wife, Dame Patience Jonathan, Mama Peace has infused dynamism into Nigerian Women, both home and abroad. She has been appreciated for her role as a mother of the Nation and Africa. Notwithstanding, we are still facing the frightening problem of BokoHaram, a monster that has taken the lives of so many innocent Nigerians. We face the unrelenting menace of kidnapping. Armed robbery has become more overwhelming. There is no newspaper that does not carry news of rape, even of babies. There is hypocrisy about corruption among individual Nigerians. The last straw that broke the camel’s back was the kidnap of the Chibok schoolgirls. There are many questions to be asked and more to be answered. How did it happen? Who saw it happen? Who did not see it happen? Who is behind this? Those behind these crimes love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil. For everyone who does evil hates the light and does not come to the light; lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does what is true comes to the light, that it may be clearly seen, that his deeds have been wrought in God. Let God’s light shine in our great Country Nigeria and reveal the perpetrators of darkness. Today, we will pray for miraculous revelations and solutions to this issue. We have convened this prayer session to bare our hearts open to God as Muslims and Christians. We shall make a way in our hearts for God to come in and settle, as we are contact points of our party members and all Nigerian Women. In this programme, we will pray for the truth to be revealed concerning these missing girls. We shall worship and praise God with all our hearts, knowing that God is a spirit and they who worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. The truth about these problems must be told so that the truth will set us free. We need a peaceful and united Nigeria. We as women of Nigeria, as mothers will intensify our prayers for the end ofBoko Haram, end of kidnapping, release of the Chibok girls, end of terrorism and insurgency in some States in Nigeria. Let the truth be told with God’s intervention. Our hearts are bleeding, not just broken. Please God send the Chibok girls home to their mothers and families. We plead with the school authorities to release their names and their pictures. Let God touch the hearts of those who know and have perpetrated this heinous action. We pray for the victims of the Nyanya bomb blasts and other victims in other terrorist actions. May kidnapping stop in Nigeria. For the sake of mothers, set the Chibok girls free. Later today, we shall go to the hospitals to visit the Nyanya bomb blast victims. May the spirit of the Lord come down. I thank you all.
