The Galley Wench (Founder) My fondest memories are of growing up in Skamokowa, Washington with my father and brothers. My father worked a little restaurant there called the Duck-in and people came from all over to enjoy his geoduck steaks. He is the master chef, I apprenticed with him as soon as I was old enough to scrub a potato. Until the day that I ran away by myself to Alaska at the age of 16. Since then, I have continued my cooking career here in Alaska learning the native ingredients such as: moose, fireweed blossoms, boletus mushrooms, and the massive bounty of seafood that I have come to love. I have camped as well as done cooking for: fish sites, lodges remote and local, moose camps, restaurants, as well having done a large amount of catering. My most recent achievement is finishing a two month apprenticeship in Anchorage with Alaskas only genuine Sicilian master chef Salvatore Favre. I strive to never stop learning, apprenticing; in addition to sharing that knowledge with those who share my passion. I love getting creative and I hope to inspire you too.
