Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a Camp Manager for a 5* Lodge situated within the Sabi Sands Game Reserve. The Camp Manager role is similar to a Front Of House Manager at this particular establishment is a hands on role which also includes a bit of admin. You will be reporting to the Lodge Manager. The main objectives of this role are • To deliver friendly, efficient guest service and to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all our guests. • To supervise, train and motivate others with the key aim of ensuring guests expectations are met and exceeded. To achieve this your responsibilities will include: A high level of involvement in the overall Guest Experience. Although the focus will be on the Guest Experience, administration and staff management of the Front Office and Receptionists is also a key area. • Ensure that all guests are greeted, checked in and allocated rooms promptly and courteously. • Be readily available at all times to deal with problems and complaints. • Ensure effective and speedy check out facilities. • Ensure that luggage is delivered to and collect from the guest rooms quickly. • Ensure that the Front Desk complete their administrative work accurately, according to Standard Operating Procedures, and in good time: • Assist the Lodge Manager when required. • Liaise with Guests and maintain effective communication with them, including personalised correspondence. • Ensure that the daily Guest Experience is designed and implemented consistently. • Circulate regularly throughout all the Front of House areas, maintaining a high profile with guests and staff. • Draw up the monthly Hosting roster. • Ensure that all Front of House team members are correctly and smartly dressed at all times. • Provide effective leadership through professional management and encouragement of all subordinates, including mediation. • Carry out regular, meaningful performance appraisals conducted in such a manner that effective, open, two-way communication is maintained. • Ensure that staff training is implemented and maintained.
