Kenneth Cornelius, chairman, Cullman County Republican Party, has announced a series of meetings, including a candidate forum, to provide potential Republican candidates several opportunities to file required government forms before candidate qualification ends on Feb. 7, for the June 3 Republican primary. Republican candidates may also qualify from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Feb. 4, at the Republican headquarters and at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at the GOP monthly breakfast ($8), Elks Lodge, 1609 Brantley Ave., Cullman. Twenty-five members of the Cullman County Republican Party Executive Committee will also be elected June 3, in the Republican primary. A member will be elected from each of the seven Cullman County school districts, three from the city of Cullman, three from each of the two associate county commission districts and nine at-large members from anywhere in Cullman County. There is a qualifying fee of $25. GOP Executive Committee candidates are not required to file government reports and may qualify at any of the candidate qualifying events.
