Kenny Jackett hailed a hugely promising debut from Rajiv van La Parra and says the winger has a “point to prove” in English football. The Dutch winger capped a fine first competitive appearance with an excellent assist for Dave Edwards’ winning goal against Norwich yesterday, and Wolves’ Head Coach is confident there is also more to come. Jackett says: “Rajiv has given us another dimension, particularly with playing this system, as he knows it very well. “He is used to playing 4-3-3 in Holland and you can tell he knows that role. “It was a great start for him especially in front of a home crowd and the potential that he has is fantastic. “He has some pace and some directness and coming in from the Netherlands he is hungry to come into the English game and he has a point to prove. “That’s a good starting point and it’s only game in but for him to show what he can do is a good thing and something he can take confidence from going into his Wolves career. “It was a very good opening day for him and the supporters want to see a new signing doing well and a good start certainly helps. “Rajiv is a compliment to what we have because James Henry has a lot of quality and is a terrific footballer who can cross and score goals.
