Kenny Jackett insists Wolves’ defensive players are good enough for the Championship despite their recent woes. The strength of the backline has come under severe scrutiny during a four-game losing run during which Wolves have conceded 14 goals. Jackett acknowledges that run must end but believes the pieces to solving any defensive puzzle are already at his disposal. “We’ve done it before in this division, when we’ve had good spells,” he said. “We have got the personnel to do it, we have to adjust to the division, you have to do that with every division. “Results and performances have been off, they need to improve and we’ve said that for a few weeks. “We have to then work and, if possible, re-identify where we’re going wrong and what we need to do. “As a side, we need to come out better at both ends. Being a threat going forward can help your defending as well.
