Kenya commends Nigeria for boosting its agric policies September 28, 2014 Mrs Dorcas Makwoi, the focal person, Comprehensive Africa Agricultural Development Programme (CAADP), Kenya, has commended Nigeria’s Agriculture Minister, Dr Akinwunmi Adesina, for influencing Kenya’s agric policy formulation. Makwoi, who gave the commendation on Sunday in Nairobi during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), said Adesina’s efforts had influenced a lot of agric policies in Kenya. According to her, when Adesina was president of the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), he contributed to making policies that would boost agricultural production across Africa. She said that the Agriculture Sector Coordinating Unit (ASCU), Kenya, was working along with some of those policies especially in the aspect of inputs. She also commended the minister for the launch of the Growth Enhancement Support (GES) through which Nigerian farmers could receive subsidised seeds and fertiliser through vouchers on their mobile phones.
