Kenya has named their squad of 22 for the Cosafa Cup Zambia 2013. Coach Adel Amrouche has selected a largely home-based squad, but one that is packed with players who have been involved in the recent 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifiers. Two overseas-based players are defender Brian Mandela and striker David Gateri, both of who play in South Africa. Kenya will be appearing in their first Cosafa Cup tournament, a valuable chance for Amrouche to work with his team in a major tournament. Kenya have been drawn in Group B at the tournament and will come up against Lesotho, Botswana and Swaziland. Should they advance out of the pool they will meet Angola in the quarterfinals. Kenya open their campaign against Lesotho in Kitwe on July 7. Kenya Squad: Goalkeepers: Duncan Ochieng, Wilson Obungu, Jerim Onyango. Defenders: Mulinge Ndetto, David Owino, David Ochieng, Brian Mandela, Joackons Atudo. Midfielders: Johanna Omolo, Jamal Mohammed, Mohammed Musa, John Mwangi, Edwin Wafula, Peter Opiyo, Francis Kahata, Teddy Akumu, Collins Okoth. Strikers: Edwin Lavatsa, David Gateri, Ali Bhai, Aboid Omar, David Seda.
