Kevin Richardson - The Lion Whisperer (should be called the Wildlife Whisperer though!!). An AMAZING man with a real gift and heart; we cant get enough of him! A self-taught Zoologist and animal behaviouralist, his efforts for conservation are pretty impressive and he does this work as part of his mission to bring about awareness (the population of lions they say, has declined from about 350,000 to an estimated 21,000 over a 20-year-span). Hunting is slowly wiping them off the planet (as is it doing to nearly most other wild creatures as well!). He has conservationists and animal behaviouralists stunned - considering they have studied the science, but cannot pull off what he has managed to do and build that sort of relationship with some very wild and large predatory animals. If you get the chance, watch some of the documentaries on him; fascinating viewing (and at times very scary!). Makes us a little jealous though, wed LOVE to be doing what he does...thats it, were moving to Africa, haha! Here are just some of the terrific documentaries to get you started:
