MY TAKE ON OSWALD LUTEPOS ALLEGATIONS AGAINST OUR BELOVED FORMER PRESIDENT DR JOYCE BANDA Fellow Malawians, Mr. Oswald Gideon Lutepo recently made serious allegations against our beloved former head of state Dr. Joyce Banda. Many Malawians have expressed their thoughts on this very important development and I, as a bona fide citizen of this great nation, would like to comment as well. First, I would like to commend Mr. Lutepo for taking such a bold step to inform the Malawian people of what really went on during the peak of the cashgate scandal. We all know that Mr. Lutepo, who was by then Director of Resource Mobilisation for the then ruling PP, is NO ordinary citizen and such being the case, the allegations he made, should be treated with all the serious they deserve. I would like to, therefore, condemn in the strongest of the terms, those that would want to paint Mr. Lutepo as a man of an unsound mind. Let me encourage law enforcement agencies in this country, to thoroughly investigate Mr. Lutepos allegations and if they are substantiated, former President Joyce Banda should face the long arm of the law for no-one in this country is above the law. I would also like to urge the former head of state to return back home from wherever she is. It is important and appropriate at this time, that she be readily available to defend herself in a court of law, if need be. Thanks to you all.
