Kicking it up a notch! OLV Intermediate Ride Route: To be determined When: 1st, 3rd (& 5th when available) Tuesday of each Month starting September 16, 2014 - Meet at 5:45 PM - wheels roll at 6:00 PM NOTE: We will be joining the MORE Sponsored Ride during the fall, winter and early spring You will need to have lights, sign the MORE waiver, wear your helmet and be self-sufficient in the event of a flat or mechanical issue on the trail. Wheels rolling at 6PM, riding for up to 2 hours and 12 miles at a slower pace in intermediate terrain. We are riding after park hours under permission from the park. Where: CCBC Parking Lot by the tennis courts Intermediate Riders: You have been mountain biking for at least three years and are very comfortable handling most types of riding and obstacles, including drops (up to 1 foot), rocks, logs, switchbacks You have good bike handling skills and can lift front and rear wheels, do small jumps, corner, climb and descend well You have considerable experience of riding on a wide variety of technical terrains including: rocky, rooty, muddy, loose, fast singletrack You ride at least twice a week and rarely get off and walk sections You can climb and descend comfortably on technical singletrack for as long as required We have a selection of advanced mountain biking holidays around the world – take your pick! Intermediate Pace: While not a race pace, moderate rides are generally faster than a beginner ride and focuses on completing the route as quickly without rest stops. However, we will take steps to be sure everyone knows the route. Trail Conditions: We will not ride trails if they are wet. We will make it a road ride in this case.
