Kidder, Inc. is looking for an experienced Quality Control Inspector. Must have at least 2 years experience in welding inspections and dimensional inspections. Must be able to read blueprints/drawings and weld symbols. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively by these means as well. NDE experience and machine shop dimensional experience are a plus. Pay is DOE. Job Description: QC inspector will report directly to Quality Management and is responsible for the receiving inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection of materials and products. This includes dimensional and visual inspection of materials in the pre-fabricated stage, dimensional inspections and visual inspections of fit-up components prior to welding to verify accuracy per print and proper joint preparations, as well as required final inspections of products prior to shipment. The inspector must be able to utilize tools such as weld gauges, dial calipers, stenciling/engraving tools, etc. to properly perform job functions. Train and further develop inspector trainees while on the job. Inspector is required to follow job routers, which detail a jobs processes and progression through the fabrication process. Other Duties: At times, assembly of products including installing slings, tags, bolts and mating components etc. may be required to finalize products prior to shipment to customers.
