Ogar added that the leader of the gang (names withheld), was arrested and convicted of illegal possession of arms and ammunitions in 2013. ``After serving the jail term of one and half years at the Keffi Prison in Nasarawa State, he returned to his criminal activities.’’ Ogar said the leader confessed that he and four other members of the gang carried out the operation at Life Camp in the FCT and co-opted the others. ``They collected N10 million before releasing the victims. They lied to the co-opted members that they received only N6 million. ``Each core member of the gang received N1.3 million. He took N1.7 million’’, she said. Ogar also said that one of the suspects was a security guard in the house where the sisters lived, adding that the guard provided the information on the movement of the victims’ family
