Kilz ... you know what that is, right? Primer that dries so-o fast! Michael was amazed. He is such a good worker, and knows how to do a great many things. Today he Kilzd the kitchen ceiling, all the cabinets and cupboards, the water heater door. Tomorrow he will do the hard part: under the cabinets, the 3 doors and door jambs, the windows. Hopefully he will have time to paint the ceiling with white gloss - white because my kitchen is a small dark airless hole. I hope I start liking it again when it has new paint and floor. Wednesday, we get to do the fun part: I decided to paint the cupboards and cabinets pink and gray. Very pale pink and very pale gray ... I know thats right, but Ive been having a problem reconciling pink doors on gray or visa versa. Until last night. I decided to paint them all gray - with some pink waves. Today I also decided that some of those waves can extend up onto the ceiling - sort of blur the corners. The windows will be pink but the frames will be gray. I think. The new blinds are pink so maybe I need to reverse the colors. Michael is excited about doing something so creative ... Jesse looked hurt that I didnt ask him to do that part, but hes got another job this week. Thursday or Friday he will be here to prep the floor for ceramic tile. Gray with pink trim. The Abitibi over the stove is so discolored after 25 years: he says there isnt another sheet in the garage ... so hes going to put pink with gray trim tile there. I love when I have a project going.
