Sub: Developments – Suggestions:- 1) Helipad at Vyttila Mobility Hub. 2) Amballoor Electronic Park – accelerate. 3) Kochi Metro to be connected with Chottanikkara. 4) Sabari Railway: 1st phase – connect with Chottanikkara Railway Stn. from Vazhakkulam / Karimkunnam / Ramapuram via Koothattukulam, Piravom and Mulanthuruthy so as to form a ring railway, considering the large number of passengers in the area in all seasons. 5) Bifurcation of Ernakulam District, Muvattupuzha as HQ for the new. 6) Bifurcation of Muvattupuzha Revenue Sub Division, Piravom / Koothattukulam as HQ for the new RDO’s Office. 7) Bifurcation of Muvattupuzha Taluk, Piravom as HQ for the new. 8) Bifurcation of Piravom Village, HQ for both at Piravom. Western side of Muvattupuzha river Pazhoor and Kalamboor from Piravom Village and some parts of Maneed and some parts of Edakkattuvayal Village will form a new Village as Piravom West or Piravom 2. 9) Mini bypass from Chithrapuzha to Mammala to connect with Seaport Airport road at Irumpanam Jn. straightly in a very short distance. 10) Speed up Excise Kadavu brige at Piravom. 11) Expansion of Pandiyanpara (Onakkoor) – Maneed road via new Nechoor bridge enabling container traffic. Encroachments if any may be evicted. Flood will not affect this road. All other main roads in Piravom, Ramamangalam, and Maneed Panchayats are flood affected and this will solve the traffic problem during flood for all the above 3 and nearby other Panchayats. 12) Ongoing works Kumarakom – Nedumbassery road not satisfactory. 13) Ongoing pipeline work in Piravom – Nadakkavu road not satisfactory. 14) Kalamassery – Sabarimala road via- Piravom (Budget work) may be commenced without delay. 15) NH may be directed to errect an Arch Board at Puthencruez showing the direction and short distance to Karimugal, Brahmapuram, Infopark and Kakkanad. Also at Kakkanad and Inforpark for diverting higway traffic. 16) Water Conservation: 1) Reconstruct Chaliyathu Chira in Uzhavoor thode (Piravom - Ramamangalam Panchayat boundary) 2) Reconstruct Vemmelichira in Uzhavoor thodu near Mudakkil bridge (Piravom – Ramamangalam Panchayat boundary) 3) Make a Natural Reservoir at Velithar Nilam (no cultivation) near Mudakkil bridge in Piravom Panchayat, Ward -2, Kakkad. Suitable and ideal for fish farming, pedal boating, swimming, lotus, water lilly floriculture, film shooting etc. Fisheries and KTDC may be advised to visit the place. This can be made with a very low cost. 17) Fire fighting helicopters for Indian Navy in Kochi. 18) ROB at Mulanthuruthy Railway cross (MP Fund) avoid delay. 19) Other ROB at Kureekkad considering the importance and future expansion of Chottanikkara Road Railway Stn. 20) Hanging bridges constructed, and under construction by KEL at Ramamangalam and Piravom require high-tech investigation, planning, design and execution skill. 21) Piravom Veterinary Hospital is relocated by Piravom Panchayat in the old Hand Pounding Society. Like wise 1) A Homeo Hospital can be worked in the long idled, not functioning Rubber Producer’s Society at Kakkad. 2) Piravom Govt. East LPS (abolished long back) can be best utilized for a better purpose like IT Lodge or for anything like that. But the formalities to acquire possession of these two plots with buildings there on by Piravom Panchayat is complicated according to Mr. Sabu K. Jacob, President, Piravom Panchayat. The Ernakulam District Administration and Govt. of Kerala are able to sort out these problems, for which all possible assistance may be given. 22) Promote desalination projects for drinking water in coastal areas, as accepted by Cochin Port Trust. 23) Diverting water from Malankara Dam to Meenachil river is a Himalayan blunder for which a detailed study by highly skilled hydrological specialist technocrats is very much required. Necessary recommendations may be made by District Administration as and when it is required, as it will affect Muvattupuzha river very badly and drastically. 24) Meat Products of India, at Edayar, Koothattukulam: Like the one in Mysore, a Food Technology Research Institute with Hotel Management Institute may be recommended, for which sufficient land is available there, it is learnt. 25) For the beautification and ikon of Kochi, a high altitude fountain may be fixed in Ernakulam Kayal, which will help to cool the city also.
