Kiwanis members from all across New Zealand and the South Pacific will converge on Hamilton this weekend. The Kiwanis Club of Westside Hamilton is hosting the annual Kiwanis New Zealand/South Pacific Convention at SkyCity riverside which is the first time it’s been held in Hamilton in 15 years. At the convention about 200 representatives from New Zealand, New Caledonia, Vanuatu and French Polynesia will listen to local dentist Dr Assil Russell who will speak on her work with I CARE, a charity that provides dental care to Iraqi children in need. Kiwanis are an international service organisation much like Lions and Rotary clubs, but with a focus solely on children.
