Knight of Cups for us Terrence Mallick fans. Mallicks films are visually stunning -- e.g Tree of Life, Thin Red Line, Days of Heaven etc but the storylines are usually very strange, and difficult/nearly impossible to grasp - like an abstract painting. Mallick NEVER speaks to the media or gives any sort of interviews . I think most Mallick-fans would agree that his movies are metaphors of various things and ideas he is contemplating like who am I or what is the meaning of our lives and existence ? .
