Knock knock NBANers, trick or treat! Friday here, which means - a new theme in sight! And as I’ve been honoured to continue the ladies month by announcing a theme of my choice exactly at THIS time of the year, I bet y’all know what’s coming: #nbanHalloween! I want you all well prepared for a scary, spooky, creepy week full of spiders, pumpkins and monsters! Show me how you get ready for what’s in my opinion the best night of the year! Many of you are aware of my love for dark spooky places and objects and most of all for Halloween makeovers, so I count on you to flood my feed with pleasurable Halloween images (including your very own Halloween costumes!) So here’s the story behind this beautiful celebration: Halloween or Halloween (a contraction of All Hallows Evening) is a yearly celebration observed in a number of countries on the night of 31 October. The traditional focus of All Hallows Eve revolves around the theme of using humor and ridicule to confront the power of death, so 31 October is all about remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs, and all the faithful departed believers. Typical festive Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, attending costume parties, decorating, carving pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns, lighting bonfires, visiting haunted house attractions, playing pranks, telling scary stories, and watching horror films. So when a child shows up at your door on Halloween night, be sure you have the proper treat so that evil spirits leave your home and the good ones retreat peacefully to Heaven. With that background in mind, I hope you’re all worked up for your next photo adventure!
