[[Knowing The Will Of God]] Part 7. Isaiah 1:19 If you have a willing attitude and obedience, you will eat the best crop of the land. OBEDIENCE IS KEY It is Gods will that we humble ourselves and live in obedience to his word, to his command. Obedience take humility and self-denial to achieve. God is sovereign and his sovereignty requires us to submit in obedience to him in every area of our lives without rationality. In issues of obedience to God, God requires total obedience and not obedience in a half measure. Obedience to God is not only when it is convenient, Infact true obedience is recognized when we obey God in times of difficulty. Times when we have genuine excuse to bow out from obeying and do what is convenient for us. At times when you know you should respect God in the area of tithing but you succumb to the pressure of using the money to attend to personal needs. At times when God is telling you to help a brother with some kind of money or materials of which youre not ready to part with etc. Indeed, it is in these times when you naturally find it difficult to obey, if you can discipline yourself and go out of your own will to obey and do the will of God, then you really claim that youre serving God in obedience . We are not to be rational when we are in obedience before God. It was a hard thing, a very unnatural thing to do when God requested Isaacs blood sacrifice from Abraham . Abraham wasnt rational before God. Though the demand was so harsh and cruel but Abraham was willing to obey. Today you cannot envy Abraham if all the blessings theres in the world is attached to his name. Abraham is a fulfillment of scripture in our text today, Isaiah 1:19. If youre willing and obedient, you shall eat the best fruits of the land. This is a sure word of prophecy which came true in the life of the greatest man of faith that ever lived. We are told to follow in his footsteps. Hebrews 6:12, that you be not slothful but followers of those who true faith and patience obtain the promises. Be reminded again and again that its Gods will that you know his will concerning obedience and live with that understanding !. God bless you!
