Knowing that today should be productive, I programmed the coffee pot to brew at 6am...the best part of waking up, indeed, was coffee in my cup when the aroma woke me up. Got Brussels sprouts cleaned and marinating in balsamic, olive oil and garlic, cabbage in oven for a slow roast (just ate some for a snack), and doing some yard work before getting pulled together for a senior recital (go Akashi!) at one oclock--then back to face more raking and cleaning out of beds. Totally going for the low hanging fruit today. Later--first BBQ of the season--salmon marinating in lemon pepper as I write. Tonight--writing and sending off a review of Carrie Newcomers latest CD for Madfolk. Loving this day!
