Kolkata will never be free from festivals and thats what I love about my city....its always vibrating to embrace colors of life....just two days back we celebrate the grand goodbye of the Indian cricket god Sachin Tendulekar and today is the inauguration of the 19 th International Film Festival. It was an star studded evening… of Mr. Amitabh Bacchan…. Mrs. Jaya Bacchan…Mr. Mithun Chakraborty….Mr. Kamal Hassan…..Mr. Sharukh Khan and all eminent personalities of Bengali film industry. Mr. Amitabh Bacchan said it so so well that cinema is only form in today’s fast breaking human society where we sit in a dark hall beside an unknown person and don’t ask about his or her caste color or creed and enjoy the same emotion …I am very touched by the thought. I love cinema and language is not a bar for me.. I am very ease with sub and dub….my college was near to Kolkata’s most happening cinema hall where you get to see all international screening and I remember two of we friend enter to see a movie without knowing the title and then end up with a very nice Japanese movie….it’s really a message to carry boundaries to rest of the world…..hope this year too in coming eight days Kolkata will see some excellent films…. This is the centenary year of Indian cinema and India is filled with gems of talent…I think more film makers should come up who will research on finer human emotions and sentiments…give fresh new perspective and soul feed the movie goers with creative juices....I wish that we in coming days see such films which can cross the regional boundaries…boundaries of the country and make a mark to world cinema ….best wishes for such success….we are waiting to see our flag raise high in world cinema scenario….
