So in honor of this wonderful woman expressing her thoughts and feelings, I am going to do what she asked of all of us! Mt Horeb Boys Basketball: Where would I even begin to thank you! Not only for the player I had in your program but also for the manager I had as well. You didnt just give a 56 player a chance to show everyone that size doesnt matter but you gave a young man the confidence to reach his goals, not to just settle and you showed him that the love he had for the game was so much bigger than high school basketball. Thank you for your tough love at times, your open heart, your wisdom and for being a part of raising great young men! I also have to thank you for treating my manager as if he was your starting player! You showed a shy young man that he had so much to offer your program and everyone else around him. It will forever make my heart shine the night you allowed him to be your player. Just that one night showed him that everyone is valued whether you keep the stats or make them. Years have past since my sons have been apart of your program but in reality they never have really left. Once you are apart of the basketball family, you are family for life! Thank you for your time away from your own families, for the thankless job you do year after year, and thank you for being wonderful role models for my boys!
