Kristopher update from about an hour ago:The doctors are continuing to adjust Kristophers medications in an effort to increase his level of alertness while managing his anxiety and restlessness. In addition, they are working to manage his sodium levels (running high) and glucose levels (unsteady at times). His surgeon is pleased with his wound healing and the ostomy output. The x-ray of his lungs showed improvement today; however, hes still not showing signs of readiness to come off the ventilator. Thankfully, he is fever free and the cultures have not shown signs of bacterial growth. Johnathans ear is better, but is dealing with a frustrating rash. Please pray for continued healing for both boys. In particular, please pray for respiratory improvements for Kristopher and increased lung function. Carrie asks that you pray for Kristophers peace of mind and lessened anxiety as he becomes more aware of his surroundings, including the many devices to which hes connected.
