Kudos to one our BOL colleagues @EdwardPaulino, for starting our wonderful series of events with Eddies Perejil, on Saturday, September 20th at the Peoples Theater Project in Washington Heights. Eddies Perejil is a one man show detailing the various emotions, when the discovering the 1937 Parsley Massacre. Great cross-boundary collab with Northern Manhattan Coalition for Immigrant Rights, Peoples Theater Project, and Border of Lights. So whats next for BOL in 2014? October 3-5 the team will be creating a mural, grassroots vigil, art installation, social justice symposium, Tweet & Meet, and service learning project in Dominican Republic & Haiti.
