Kuranda will be the chocolate capital of Tropical North Queensland - TopicsExpress

Kuranda will be the chocolate capital of Tropical North Queensland on Easter Saturday (April 19) when we shower people visiting the Village in the Rainforest with 11,000 Easter eggs in our gigantic Easter egg drop. The Easter Bunny will be dropping eggs from a crane in Centenary Park throughout the day. Easter in the Park will feature live music, kids games, jumping castles and some great free entertainment. Street performers will rove throughout the village keeping shoppers and diners enthralled with their antics. Acoustic band Timber and Wood (pictured) has been secured as the main act for live music in Centenary Park. The local group is an earthy mix of roots, reggae and folk music with the trio using a variety of instruments including the acoustic guitar, slide guitar, congas and stomp box. Well give you a full run down of all the days events in the next edition. While you are in the Village in the Rainforest for the festivities make sure you try some of the great restaurants and cafes and browse through the shops where you will find locally produced food, art, crafts and garments.
