Kyabgon Phakchok Rinpoche Singapore Teaching December - TopicsExpress

Kyabgon Phakchok Rinpoche Singapore Teaching December 2013 Padmasambhava (“Lotus Born”) was the great accomplished sage from Oddiyana (Urgyen, modern day North-West Pakistan) who established Buddhism in the Himalayan Kingdoms of Tibetan, Bhutan and others. Although he was not the first Buddhist teacher to visit these lands, it was Padmasambhava, through his many manifestations who solved the unique challenges and barriers faced by the Himalayan people in their conversion to Buddhism. As the founder of Vajrayana Buddhism in the Himalayan lands, he is revered as Guru Rinpoche. Urgyen Norhla, Orgyen Norhla or Lama Norhla is Guru Rinpoche’s manifestation as the deity of wealth. True wealth is the freedom from want - the Lama Norhla Puja is one of the most popular Vajrayana practices because it brings together all the paths of accumulation – Dzambhala, obstacle removal, magnetizing, increasing sociability, improving connections, subjugating negativity. Until now, only Rinpoche and monks have conducted the Lama Norhla puja on behalf of the followers of the Chokling Tesar lineage. 10th/ 11th Dec : In this two day Lama Norhla Retreat, Kyabgon Phakchok Rinpoche will teach the entire sadhana to the attendees, covering the true meaning of Lama Norhla practice, motivation and dedication. Our monks will teach all the mudras and torma making needed. Rinpoche will confer the Lama Norhla empowerment on day one, and we will go through the actual Lama Norhla Puja together at the end of day two. At the end of the retreat, attendees will have the full empowerment, transmission and explanation to practice Lama Norhla as their Yidam practice at home. Lama Norhla Retreat 10th / 11th Dec (registration required, forms and details will be available this week) Lama Norhla Empowerment 10th Dec 7pm (open to all) Lama Norhla Puja 11th Dec 7pm (open to all) 12th Dec : On Thursday, Rinpoche will conduct Sampa Lhundrub Feast Offering. Rinpoche, 7 monks and 4 nuns will be leading us in accumulating merit through offering and recitation. Guru Sampa Lhundrub is Guru Rinpoche’s manifestation for spontaneous accomplishment – through our Guru devotion and disciplined practice, may we achieve joyful, effortless and unbroken activity in accordance with the Dharma. This puja will be held from 10 am till 9 pm on Thursday and is open to all. We will be collecting food donation for the prayers and subsequent distribution to the needy. Forms for sponsorship and donation will be available later this week. Venue for the above programme will be at Poh Ming Tse Temple 438 Dunearn Rd Singapore 289613
