Kylie Platt’s pregnancy hasn’t exactly been straight forward so it’s only natural that the birth is packed with drama too. And that’s exactly what happens when she ends up giving birth at home and Gail delivers her little girl! Paula Lane, who plays Kylie, explained: “It happens so quickly. She has a few twinges in the Bistro, but when she gets home she’s on her own and scared. “There’s music blaring next door and no one can hear her cries. Kylie’s in a complete panic, she can’t move and the baby is coming quickly. “She screams out in pain and Sean hears her and comes to her aid.” But it seems the baby is coming so quickly she doesn’t have time to get to the hospital and Gail has to step in. Paula told Inside Soap: “Gail ends up delivering the baby girl, but by this point I don’t think Kylie cares. “I reckon in some ways this helps strengthen their bond. But of course, they already share this big secret, which neither of them can escape from.” Kylie and David decide to call the little girl Lily but there’s a shock twist on the way when David decides to have a secret DNA test to prove who is her father.
