L NOTICE FROM COMPANY THST MAKES MIBG , SMH, if one of their kids had neuroblastoma you can bet NOONE woukd be on STRIKE .. There is NO EXCUSE for the actions of these employes .. IMPORTANT your MIBG Scan or Therapy may be canceled. by Admin 31 minutes ago Dear Neuroblastoma Parents, It was brought to our attention today that the pharmaceutical company, JubiLant DraxImage, the maker of our children’s MIBG and MIBG therapy, is not available as of today due to the employees going on strike. What does this mean for us? Our children will not be able to get scans with MIBG or MIBG therapy at this time. The company reported to me today that the employees went on strike Monday morning and they are in hopes to reach a deal with the Union by next week. More than likely, if you had scans scheduled next week, they will not happen with MIBG due to the fact the hospital is unable to get the drug because of the strike. JubiLant DraxImage is the only company in the United States that supply the MIBG for scans. There is one other company in New Jersey that is able to produce the drug for MIBG therapy only. We are working on this and we will keep you updated when we have more answers. Enclosed is the letter that was sent to me today on behalf of the company that produces this drug. I am here if anyone has any questions or concerns. Please message me as I will do whatever I can to help. Sincerely, Founder - Tiffany Seibel NeuroblastomaHelp.org Letter from warrior mommy !! Dear Tiffany, Thank you for your call today. JDI is committed to MIBG production and sustainable, reliable availability of the highest quality GMP product. You inquired about the status of MIBG manufacturing at Jubilant DraxImage (JDI). As I indicated during our conversation, on June 2, 2014, the labor union representing employees of JDI in the manufacturing and packaging areas had authorized a strike action. This strike action was undertaken without prior notification to JDI. JDI has developed contingency plans to minimize the impact on the manufacturing of our products. MIBG production is unique in many ways since it is provided under an FDA compassionate use provision. Unfortunately this limits our ability to manufacture when the manufacturing schedule is disrupted suddenly. JDI regrets that because of this disruption, the MIBG productions planned for June 2 and 3 were delayed then, ultimately cancelled for those days. Although we do not know the duration of the strike action, we are hopeful that it will be resolved very soon. As a matter of fact, our respective teams have been maintaining a dialogue over the last few days to try to resolve the issues. While it will not help this disruption, this event will accelerate JDI’s plans for secondary manufacturing as part of our commitment to MIBG supply. Furthermore, though MIBG production should resume next week, we are developing an alternative source should the local job action continue. We understand and recognize the importance of maintaining an uninterrupted supply of MIBG to you, the medical community and, most critically, to the patients who require MIBG. JDI takes this responsibility very seriously. To this end we are actively seeking alternatives to provide the product to the families expecting it this week. We commit to keeping you updated as information becomes available. Thank you for being a strong advocate for your son and all the children and their families. Kind regards Suzanne Bissonnette Melody Mainville How the Heck do you find out bout this info???
