We are seeking an Industrial Sales Representative – Consultative SUMMARY High-level selling, with application and solution selling experience in the industrial and/or automation and control market. Emphasis on Key and Target account development and Industry segmentation for highest impact for Consultative solutions. Develop annual territory/business plan and penetrate new accounts utilizing multiple resources and disciplines established for effective growth. Prospect new business segments and seek out innovative solutions for key industry segments as defined by the joint Sales and Marketing business plan. Position is responsible for generating revenue in the geographical area of assignment consistent with market potential, established quotas and margin expectations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement business/territory plans. Close business consistently at or above target revenue and margin levels. Follow established methods of effective selling, demonstrating improved efficiency and close rate with all structured training. Demonstrate competency in product demonstrations and applications know-how. Follow up and close out Sales Leads in a timely manner. Penetrate new target accounts and maintain key accounts to increase market share. Use sales automation software for developing and tracking opportunities throughout the sales cycle as well as for developing and maintaining a customer database and specific target/key account data. Participate in applicable Trade Shows, Associations and local in-house shows and seminars. Attend and participate in Sales/Training Meetings as a solid team player. Be responsible for and initiate self-development to elevate job knowledge and self-education. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree with emphasis on Engineering, Industry and Technology, or Business Administration (w/appropriate experience); 5-7 years of sales experience with a proven track record in the Industrial marketplace. Must be proficient in MS Office software, have solid organizational skills and professional image. Knowledge of PLC and distributed control systems, PC application and related connectivity required. Sales experience with OEMs, VARs, integrators, and engineering houses is helpful. SAP knowledge/experience preferred. METTLER TOLEDO is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
