LA Tenorio admitted that the success garnered by Ginebra so far in the 2015 Boracay Cup can be attributed to the Mark Caguioas impact on the court. “Bumalik yung confidence at laro ni Mark. Yung intensity at energy nya, nagra-rub off sa other guys. Minsan, pagpasok nya, kahit masama yung start, hindi nya kami pinapasahan. Then it continues with the other guys like Greg Slaughter na naiinis na din minsan,” said the veteran gunner. Being one of the elder statesman in the Ginebra, Tenorio has also seen the hunger in Caguiaos eyes. “Nafeel ni Mark na masama talaga yung first conference nya sa PBA kaya gusto nyang bumawi dito sa Bora. And it’s his contract year so he wants to prove himself na he deserves to be appreciated. He worked really hard sa offseason and nagpe-payoff naman so sana nga lang mamasa sya minsan. Pumapasok na rin madalas yung croco-attitude nya,” the GINeral added. And as Ginebra takes a 2-0 series lead over Blackwater, Tenorio said that they should learn from the miscues they committed in the Philippine Cup. “Akala namin nung Game 1, ganun din kadali. Pero yung Blackwater came out firing, tapos medyo humihiyaw na si Mark ng YUNG BOLA, AKIN NA!. Kung di pa kami natuto, we’ll be foolish. It should serve as a lesson na rin,” Tenorio said. Also, the Christmas day also factor in the mentality of the players. “Ang difference lang, mas mataas yung value ng game nya kasi Christmas, magiging triple-double na naman yun,” Tenorio said. “More on focus na lang kami sa pagpasa kay Mark kasi magagalit yun. Yun na lang ang kailangan naming gawin for the game. Maganda rin kasi defending champion kami, baguhan palang ang Blackwater sa semis ng Bora and we have a chance of getting into the Finals so mas excited na kami maglaro.
