LADY BLUEWAVE SUFFOCATE WEBBER INTERNATIONAL 91-31 -Aaron Smiley, FSCJ BlueWave Sports Writer The FSCJ Women used their size to smother their opponents on both ends Saturday afternoon, as the BlueWave improved to 12-3 on the season, defeating Webber International 91-31. The BlueWave forced the Lady Warriors to commit 25 turnovers and shoot an abysmal 20 percent from the field. Alexis Carter had a monster game for FSCJ with 21 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Amber Jones also had 21 points and six rebounds. Zenia Coley had one of her best outputs of the season with 12 points, five rebounds and six assists. The team as a whole turned away shots with ease, blocking nine attempts. No player from Webber was able to score in double digits. As a team, the Lady Warriors only made 12 field goals. Zenea Johnson led Webber with eight points, while Arlia Greene and Telena Freeney chipped in six points apiece. Come check out the Lady BlueWave close out 2014 as they host the FSCJ Holiday Classic Monday, December 29th, and Tuesday, December 30th. FSCJ will be hosting Hillsborough State College, Northwest Florida State College, and Gulf Coast State College. Games will start at 5 p.m. Monday evening at FSCJs South Campus Gym.
