LAHORE - Pakistan Flour Mills Association has demanded the government to allow wheat import from India via Wagha, with a view to provide flour to public at cheaper rates, as Indian wheat is cheaper by at least Rs150 per 40 kg. Addressing a press conference, PFMA central chairman Zahoor Ahmed Agha said that Indian wheat costs the millers Rs1,140 per 40kg after including loading, unloading, duties and transportation cost while local wheat cost them around Rs1300 per 40kg. If federal government allows import of wheat from India via Wagha, it would also benefit to general masses, as the retail price of flour may reduce by Rs10-20 per 20kg bag, Zahoor Agha claimed Kretschmer Wheat Germ Agri-business Pays Agriculture Jobs
