RESTAURANT MANAGER – LIVE IN AVAILABLE (may suit couple) Job Purpose: Pleases customers by providing a pleasant dining experience. Duties: * Accomplishes restaurant human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling , and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures. * Achieves restaurant operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change. * maximises bar profitability by ensuring portion control; monitoring accuracy of charges. * Maintains safe, secure, and clean environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations; securing revenues; developing and implementing disaster plans; * Maintains ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, linen service, glassware, dinnerware, and utensil quality and placement; monitoring food presentation and service. * Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organisations. * Enhances department and organisation reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. * Must have at least 5 years experience in a similar position and be experienced in Weddings and Conferences, working 42.5 hours per week over 5 days. RECEPTIONIST - LIVE OUT Job Purpose: Serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately; notifies company personnel of visitor arrival; maintains security and telecommunications system. Duties: * Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries. * Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories; giving instructions. * Maintains security by following procedures, answering email enquiries, and dealing with initial wedding enquiries * Maintains telecommunication system by following manufacturers instructions for house phone and console operation. * Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. * Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. * Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. This is a live out position, therefore suitable only for someone living in the local area.
