LAUNCHING of Lions District 301-A1 Sight for Kids for Lion Year 2013 – 2014 led by District Governor John L. Siy, PMJF, will be on MONDAY, AUGUST 19, 2013, FROM 8:30 AM at Gregorio del Pilar & M. Hizon Elementary Schools Sponsored by Manila Host and Manila Allied Lions Club led by Lion President Ines C. Ramos and Sison Pua. Millions of school-aged children, 5 – 15 years old are visually impaired due to Uncorrected Refractive Error (URE). However the most economical treatment of URE is eyeglasses – but to many struggling families, glasses are out of reach. Since 2002, Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) in partnership with Johnson N Johnson have collaborated to detect and correct the vision of millions of children through the Sight for Kids program. Sight for Kids Vision screenings and distribution of prescription eyeglasses are coordinated by Lions Club, medical personnel and Public Elementary Schools
