LAUSANNE (SWITZERLAND), 23/08/2013 – A motorist caused chaos in Aigle, in French-speaking Canton Vaud, today around midday. Within a few minutes, he was responsible for two accidents in which eleven people were injured, two of whom seriously. There were about ten vehicles involved according to the local Police. The driver ran a red light and collided with anoher car, which only caused material damages. The man kept driving at high speed and, in a roundabout, he crashed into a car, which bumped into another vehicle, and a van was also involved. The car that caused the accident then drove past the traffic circle and crashed head-on into another vehicle, which was pushed against the two cars that were following it. A total of eleven people were entrusted to rescuers. The life of the two people seriously injured is not in danger. A lot of emergency workers and policemen were needed.
