LBCDAI Competition 8 & 9 March Saturday starts at 9am with Intermediate and Premier Titles. Other sections are to start around 10.30am. We wish for everyone to be at the hall ready to dance by half an hour beforehand to allow number allocations and marshalling. We have a big competition Saturday so were hoping to start on time so its not a late finish. Sunday starts at 9am again with Intermediate and Open Titles. Everyone else to start at approximately 10.15am with trophy dances. Please be there at least half an hour before you are meant to start if not earlier. We dont want to be chasing anyone. Things to ensure you have: Highland - Kilt, National, Hornpipe and Jig costumes. Socks, shoes, jig shoes, black bummers, white bummers. Ensure you have all of the pieces of your costumes. Irish - Solo costume, group dress, bubble socks, black stockings, wig, sock glue, soft shoes, hard shoes, black bummers, bummers for solo dress. We will supply the capes, brooches, head bands and wigs for teams. PLEASE NOTE - Beginners are not to wear wigs or any false hair items. Just have your hair natural in half up and half down or a pony tail and you may wear a ribbon if you wish. - All dancers dancing 11 years and under in Beginners and Primary are NOT allowed to wear makeup. - The dancers will be asked to lift their hands up in the marshalling area (as stated by the regulations) to ensure there are no dancing aids being used. - Costumes must be no shorter than the middle of the thigh at the back of the dress (for everyone). - Any infringements will be noted by the adjudicator to be reported to the teacher and then the commission as specified in the regulations. We will have the shop at the competition if anyone does happen to forget anything. Regards Renee
