LEAN & MEAN VICTORY 11 hardworking skaters and the best goalie in the league earned a sweet “W” vs. the Coyotes last night! The MISFITS showed what we can do against a fast team with a decent sniper contingent. The 6-4 come-from-behind victory had many highlights on and off the scoresheet. Igor’B got his first hat trick, Igor’T tallied two key A’s, Rob’O tallied 2 G’s & 1 A, Big Rudy’s super hustle yielded a sweet G and ample near misses that completely disrupted the Coyotes D. Our D earned merit badges with outstanding hustle, smart play and some memorable self-sacrificing dives by Steve & Dan that blew up Coyote breakaways. The MISFITS have the hardest working D in the business! When is the last time any of us saw or heard of a goalie making 47 saves in one game? Brandon faced 51 SOG and stopped 47 of them!!! That is a 92% save percentage. For comparison, last season good ole #50 had a great summer averaging 91% saves. As always, and more so every day, PROUD TO BE A MISFIT!!! GO MISFITS!!! #22
