LENA HORNE just ROCKS in this rendition of Cant Help Lovin That Man of Mine from Show Boat - its an excerpt from a mini-production of Show Boat in Till the Clouds Roll By (1946), an M-G-M biography (with great artistic license) of composer Jerome Kern. Lena was BORN to play the part of Julie Laverne, and this was the only chance she got to do it. She was passed over in favor of Ava Gardner in the full-fledged remake of Show Boat in 1951. I *LOVE* Lena!
