LESSON 4 SANITY Principle 2: Earnestly believe that God exists, that I matter to Him, and that He has the power to help me recover. Happy are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. (Matthew 5:4) Step 2: We came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity. For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to His good purpose. (Philippians 2:13). How can I control a life created for me by others? The answer is, of course, I can’t. To try to control something I can’t control is insanity. Our second step tells us, “we came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity. New life in Christ is the first and greatest step towards sanity. Sanity comes in power from Jesus Christ. New life, like a new appliance, requires power to make it run. Dont plug it in and it wont work. S stands for Strength A stands for Acceptance N stands for New Life I stands for Integrity T stands for Trust.
