LETS READ WHAT DR.ABDUL QADEER KHAN SAYS OVER:PTIS CHAIRMAN IMRAN KHAN ( a must read for the well-wishers of IK, perhaps to help ) KAC I have some reservations about Imran Khan’s recent politics. He has wasted millions of man-hours and huge amounts of money on useless sit-ins and gatherings. He aspires to being a national leader but has not come out of his old shell of continuous bickering and blaming. When you see him stuck to a microphone for hours, you wonder if he has nothing more important to do. National leaders don’t waste hours on press conferences. It was indecent on his part to call a media house and its editor-in-chief names. If he had any grievances against Geo, Jang or News, he should have left it to Dr Shireen Mazari to deal with. She is an educated, knowledgeable, intelligent and competent lady (a former QAU professor) who, as his information secretary, could handle the matter professionally. By putting KP in order and turning it into an exemplary province, many votes could be won in the next elections. By creating a law and order situation one only invites dictatorship. It should be kept in mind that, once in power, a dictator never leaves in less than 10 years. If elections were rigged, why did Imran Khan and his party take oath? Alternatively, he could still dissolve the KP Assembly, hold elections and, if he wins, send the JUI-F, PML-N and ANP packing. Why doesn’t he get 10 or 15 thousand volunteers to clean up Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Abbottabad, etc, making them the cleanest cities of Pakistan and put schools and hospitals in tip-top condition? If Khan persists with his present policy, I am afraid he won’t make much headway in the next elections. He has asked Shahbaz Sharif to resign and send his IG to jail. Why didn’t he do the same with his CM and IG when, on September 22, 2013, 85 people were killed and more than 100 injured in a terrorist attack on a church in Peshawar?
