LETS TALK ABOUT RELATIONSHIP There are two major words that make the word ‘Relationship. We have ‘Relation’ and ship. Relation means the way in which two people behaves towards each other. OR The ways in which two people are connected. Ship on the other hand means to transport somebody by whatever means. Relationship therefore is a way in which two people are connected to be transported to a destination. This definition brings us to a question everyone should answer. - Why are you `in that relationship? - Where is it taking you to? Most times when I ask youths these questions, they tend not to have an answer to it. I feel surprised when I hear answers like; ‘I don’t know, God knows! Before you move yourself in a journey that will demand so many precious things from you, it is good to sit down and ask yourself why it is necessary to start it and where it is going to end? “For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and count the cost, whether he has sufficient to finish it? Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him” - Luke 14:28-29 It is very easy to start a relationship especially in this present age where relationship has become so cheap. Everyone has a partner, a child of 7 to 8 years already knows what love affair means and if parents are not careful, you will be surprised your 8years old daughter already has a boyfriend. The above scripture says why do you want to start without first finding out what it takes? Why do you want to embark on a journey without having a map and knowing how long it takes to get there?
