LETTER FROM THE CO-PRESIDENTS We had an interesting a lively discussion at our Brainstorming Brunch on Sunday September 14th. Under the guidance of the talented Jim Kessler, we came up with a long list of questions about what was important to us in our search for a new Rabbi. The consensus of the group was that we need some good leadership from someone who can see and help us realize our potential. Be on the look out for future events where we continue to ponder and create our future. This is a reminder about the creation of the search committee. The dead line for letters of intent to be on the committee must be received in the Temple Israel office no later than this Thursday October 9th. See details below. Search Committee: At this time we are looking for members who would be interested in serving on the Rabbi Search Committee. We are looking to put together a committee of about 5-7 individuals who will represent the diversity of our community. Anyone interested in serving on this committee must submit a letter of interest to the Board of Directors no later than October 9th, 2014. The letter should include the following information: Why it is you want to serve on the Rabbi Search Committee? What useful skills or experience do you have to bring to the search process? A brief description of who you are (i.e., general age range, interests, life experiences, etc.) A brief description of the length and nature of your involvement with Temple Israel. Letters of interest may be mailed, emailed or dropped off at the Temple Israel office. Please keep in mind that anyone serving on the Rabbi Search Committee must be willing to commit to a time-intensive process, with as many as 2 to 3 meetings per month between October 2014 and June 2015.
