People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and thats what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life. Above all, dont lie to yourself. The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point that he cannot distinguish the truth within him, or around him, and so loses all respect for himself and for others. And having no respect he ceases to love. There are wounds that never show on the body that are deeper and more hurtful than anything that bleeds. Dont attach yourself to anyone who shows you the least bit of attention because youre lonely. Loneliness is the human condition. No one is ever going to fill that space. The best thing you can do it know yourself... know what you want. A true soul mate is probably the most important person youll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. But to live with a soul mate forever? No too painful. Soul mates, they come into your life just to reveal another layer of yourself to you, and then leave. A soul mates purpose is to shake you up, tear apart your ego a little bit, show you your obstacles and addictions, break your heart open so new light can get in, make you so desperate and out of control that you have to transform your life, then introduce you to your spiritual master.... Blind belief in authority is the greatest enemy of truth. Holding anger is a poison...It eats you from inside...We think that by hating someone we hurt them...But hatred is a curved blade...and the harm we do to others...we also do to ourselves. You trade in your sense for an act. You give up your ability to feel, and in exchange, put on a mask. There cant be any large-scale revolution until theres a personal revolution, on an individual level. Its got to happen inside first. If all mankind minus one, were of one opinion, and only one person were of the contrary opinion, mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one person, than he, if he had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind. Its so hard to forget pain, but its even harder to remember sweetness. We have no scar to show for happiness. We learn so little from peace. A guy and a girl can be just friends, but at one point or another, they will fall for each other...Maybe temporarily, maybe at the wrong time, maybe too late, or maybe forever.
