“LIKE” GOD’S PAGE Did you know that in order to keep receiving feed from any FB page that you “liked”, you need to “like”, “comment” or “share” at least occasionally on that page? Otherwise, you will no longer receive that person’s feed. They will still be posting like always, but you will not know it, and you will, therefore, miss out on whatever it was that you liked about the writing that prompted you to click “like” and want to receive the material in the first place. In the case of the feed from this page, it is ironic, because much of what the Lord puts on my heart to write has to do with Christians being alive and vibrant in their faith, and submitting totally to the Lord in all things, actively working in this world to fulfill whatever work He puts on our hearts to do. Yet, many are losing the feed from this and other pages because of a complacent attitude. They don’t want to commit fully, and they hesitate to stand up and stand out, in these tumultuous times we live in. The Lord showed me that this same attitude and lack of action applies to our relationship to Him also. When we became a Christian, (symbolically) we “liked” Our Lord’s “page”. We said, “I want to hear from You, Lord, I want to know what You have to say to me” But, as time goes on, we pray less, and listen even less, and, in effect, we stop “liking” (listening and contemplating) posts on His page, we are sluggish on “commenting” (praying and talking to Him) and we almost never “share” (speak opening of Him in public or even among friends). The result is the same as Facebook, when we don’t seek and respond to Our Lord’s voice in our spirits, or to His Word, eventually we won’t hear His messages. He’ll still be speaking to us, just as much as always, expressing His Great Love and Wisdom, but we won’t know it. That is about the saddest thing that could happen to a Child of God. Please, don’t let it happen to you.
