LIONS HELPING UNEMPLOYED YOUTHS The International Association of Lions’ Clubs is turning its attention to concerns about youth unemployment in Barbados and the region. Thats one of the reasons why lions from Sub District 60-B are here in Barbados, for a four day meeting ending this weekend. Theyre trying to come up with a plan to address this and other issues affecting young people in the region. Speaking on the sides of the Lions cabinet meeting, Region Chairman, Maureen Graham told the CBC news, the lions are targeting students in primary and secondary school, with a goal of empowering them. Ms. Graham says the Lions have gone a step further setting aside resources as startup capital for young aspiring entrepreneurs.
