LITHONIA, Ga. — DeKalb County police say two teens accused of breaking into a house were shot by the homeowner and have been hospitalized. Police spokeswoman Mekka Parish said Monday that a group of three teenagers backed a stolen car into the driveway of a Lithonia home and then knocked on the front door to check if anyone was inside. Parish says two of the teens then ran to the rear of the house. Police say the homeowner saw the teens run to the back of the house, grabbed his gun and opened fire when the teens kicked the door in. Parish says the wounded teens ran from the home and have been taken to a local hospital. The third teen who stayed in the car has been arrested.
