LITHUANIAN JAZZ AT THE EU HOUSE DURING CULTURE NIGHT IN DUBLIN Lithuanian Embassy in Ireland is pleased to inform that vibrant Lithuanian jazz duo of Dominykas Vyšniauskas on trumpet and Arnas Mikalkėnas on accordion will be performing during Culture Night on Friday, 20 September at the European Union House at 18 Dawson Street, Dublin 2 from 6 to 9 p.m. The aim of young and talented musicians is to reveal true and uncommercial jazz. Fostering the art of improvisation, the duo combines tough style with expression. According to the musicians, emergence of the duo and the evolution of ideas were influenced by a desire to change the false conception of jazz fundamentally, to draw public attention to a wider variety of musical expression forms, innovative music and to share musical impressions with the audience. Admission free and everybody is welcome. Visitors will also be able to view the exhibition presented by the Embassy of Lithuania in Ireland which features a display of artistic interpretations of EU flags by seven renowned Lithuanian artists. The musical performance and exhibition celebrate Lithuania’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
